How does TempSure Envi work?

In order to know how to treat deficient aging skin, you have to know what ails it.  In short, the skin relies on two nutrients – collagen and elastin – to remain smooth, tight, and vibrant.  However, as the body gets older, its production of these nutrients slowly begins to deteriorate.  The key to regaining youthful skin is by finding a way to replenish this diminishing supply of collagen and elastin.  In this pursuit, Right Vision Optometry is proud to offer TempSure Envi: an innovative new nonsurgical skin tightening treatment designed to remove fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes while treating Dry Eye Syndrome.  Our trained team is led by board-certified optometrist Sharon Silva-Celada, who is highly experienced in providing this helpful treatment for patients of all skin types.

Are there any side effects from TempSure Envi?

Due to the nonsurgical nature of the treatment, there are no major side effects or downtime associated with TempSure Envi.  Our patients are free to return to their normal schedules with little to no restrictions as soon as the treatment is over.  In some cases, there may be some slight redness in the face, but this is totally expected and nothing to worry about.  In about a day, the color of your skin should return to normal.

How long do results from TempSure Envi last?

Results from TempSure Envi are generally noticeable almost immediately.  Most patients observe a renewed tone and tighter looking skin after just one session.  However, results will vary from person to person depending on their age, skin type, and skin condition.  In any case, results will continue to improve for several weeks after the treatment.  In order for patients to achieve the best and longest-lasting results, we usually recommend between 4-6 sessions administered at one-month intervals.  While results from TempSure Envi are long-lasting, Dr. Silva-Celada usually advises patients to receive touch-ups about once or twice a year to stave off the effects of further aging.

Am I a candidate?

While other procedures work only on certain skin tones, TempSure Envi works on all skin types, and everyone is a candidate.  Treatments are primarily recommended to patients who experience skin laxity (looseness) around the eyes, baggy eyes, and dry eyes.  We love this radiofrequency system because it can treat the smaller, more delicate areas on the face.

Does the procedure hurt?

TempSure Envi has been carefully designed with comfort in mind. Radiofrequency provides a pleasant and effective treatment every time. You may notice a warming sensation during the procedure, but it shouldn’t be painful. Most of our patients describe the treatment as comfortable.

How long are the treatments?

Treatments last about 30-60 minutes, depending on the area(s) being treated. There is no downtime, allowing you to return to your normal activities immediately.

How many treatments are needed?
